If you are trying to get weeds out of your garden and keep them out, you can spray them with vinegar. You can use a spray bottle to put the vinegar into. Be sure to coat the weeds evenly. If the weeds are young, use white or cider vinegar and that should be enough to kill them. If the weeds are over two weeks old, you will probably need to get pickling vinegar which is more acetic.

You can also spray them with a mixture of rubbing alcohol and water. This causes the weeds to dry up and die quickly. DO NOT spray the plants you are trying to grow.

Next, you will want to sprinke corn meal on the area you want to keep weeds out so they don't come back. This will prevent any seeds that have fallen on the ground from sprouting back once you have killed your weeds. Corn meal will hold back seed growth so go ahead and throw some on the ground unless you have your own seeds planted in the same area.
